OET test dates and booking deadlines
The OET runs many times a month, on paper, on computer and from home. Dates change by country and format, so the only reliable list is the official booking page. Here is how they work.
Dates by test format
On computer at a venue
- Test dates
- Many days every month
- Booking closes
- Usually about 7 days before
- Results
- From 48 hours, most within 6 days
OET@Home
- Test dates
- Many days every month, for candidates with no venue in their country or with access needs
- Booking closes
- Usually about 7 days before
- Results
- From 48 hours, most within 6 days
On paper at a venue
- Test dates
- Set dates through the year
- Booking closes
- About 3 weeks before
- Results
- From 5 days (India, Philippines), 13 days elsewhere
Results times are from the OET Test Handbook 2026 and are indicative; holidays and extra checks can delay them. The official booking page shows the exact deadline for every test date.
How to book your OET date
- 1Search your country on the official booking page, or choose OET@Home.
- 2Pick your profession, format and date, and note its booking deadline.
- 3Create your OET account, upload your ID and pay online.
Before and after you book
- You can hold only one booking per test administration.
- Rescheduling and cancelling both cost a fee, and after the final deadline you may not be able to change.
- Need extra time or other special arrangements? Apply before booking and wait for OET to confirm.
- A result looks wrong? Ask for a remark within 72 hours. The fee is refunded if your grade changes.
Choosing a date
- Work backwards from your regulator deadline, adding the results time.
- Leave room for a second attempt in case one sub-test falls short.

When do OET bookings close?
It depends on the format. Paper bookings close about 3 weeks before the test so the papers can be sent to the venue. Computer and OET@Home bookings usually close about a week before. The exact closing date is shown next to each date on the official OET booking page.
When will I get my OET results?
According to the OET Test Handbook 2026, computer and OET@Home results can come out 48 hours after you finish all four sub-tests, and most are released within 6 calendar days. Paper results come out from 5 days after the test in India and the Philippines, and from 13 days in all other regions. You get an email when they are ready.
How long are OET results valid?
There is no single rule. Each regulator, university or employer decides how old a result it accepts, so check with the organisation you are applying to.
Can I see 2027 OET dates?
OET adds dates to its booking system through the year. Check the official booking page for the furthest dates currently open in your country.
